18 jan An automated approach for learning programming
Teaching programming is hard. Teaching programming to students with no programming experience is even harder. For this reason, two years ago the Hogeschool Rotterdam started with a large-scale experiment: mixing online intelligent tools with traditional didactics. At the core of this experiment is GrandeOmega: a web-application which does not just provide content to students, but which is also capable of providing students with real-time, accurate feedback in order to assist learning. The HRO is now working with GrandeOmega with hundreds of first and second-year students, with results far beyond expectations. Students are learning more, passing harder exams, and expressing more satisfaction.
